Do you know the ‘deep happy’? It’s in your bones, produces the silliest grins & generally makes you look like a fool if exposed too often.

Nonetheless if you experience this you should probably just give in, I mean how often can you explain the crazy away with happiness? Just let it fly baby.

My parents and I are driving to Reston, VA for Thanksgiving and after a glorious few hours of me being dj my dad has taken over.

We are listening to Eckhart Tolle, and while his voice is kinda weird (& strangley soothing) I’m finding his points intriguing. I like his perspective on reality, even if this might not be ‘my thing’ it never hurts to hear what someone else has to say.

I know that a few people I follow are from here…but I forgot who (I’m sorry!) If you’ve visited Austin or have lived there, would you mind emailing me your thoughts? I’m doing a little research because they have a wonderful law school and I know it’s inexpensive to live, and pretty cool.

Jeff and I are starting to think about what will be next once he graduates in May and I think Austin should be considered. I’m from New York and went to undergrad in Boston & I’ve never been to Texas…so help a Eastern girl out!

My mother and I collapsed into hysterics when we saw the new round of Kay commercials for this Holiday season…the pieces are pretty fug, and are being marketed in the ickiest way possible.

Red wine & peach ‘n’ berry pie are on the menu tonight!

I contributed my special recipe BBQ chicken, a cheese plate, and a pomegranate spinach salad. We barbeque all year round because my dad can’t ‘let go’ and it’s actually a pretty fab family tradition. Except of course when your neighbors across the street see flames in your yard in mid-January and call the fire department. Winter of 2004 folks. Oops!

Mom & I went to buy vodka & they were offering Jameson shots inside…whisky is yum, but perhaps not on an empty stomach! Going home to eat Stove Top, Ben & Jerry’s ‘Half Baked’ & a vodka tonic. Maybe I’ll have some kale chips too.

Last night I had a dream that I was shot in the back but refused to go to the hospital until I had health insurance. No ambulance would come get me, I was on a train towards the hospital on my iPhone trying frantically to get some type of catastrophic insurance before getting to the ER. At the end I had started to bleed out & slowly faded and then woke-up.

I’m not insured (at all), wonder if I’m worried about it at all?!

After seeing me pilfer a little more from my red wine stash my seatmate said “You’re so smart!” The least I could do was offer her some vino…so what if my new bff is the result of alcohol consumption on the Amtrak train? It’s a Friday and we’re riding the train for goodness sake!

Without getting too into my work life I will say that this week was super rough. My office is very small and with people out sick I was the only one in the office who could prepare handbag shipments this week. That means our merchandise had to be sent out to some major clients & the chick that’s been around for six weeks was called upon to deliver…Hello stress? My name is Lily, I believe we’ve met before, perhaps during the midterms of ‘07? I must say that being able to take on such craziness & actually conquer was fly, but the knot in my stomach “oh my god?!” moments I could have dealt wirhout.

But guess what? I made it, and I feel pretty damn good that my boss was able to call on me and get things done. I may be the purse rookie, but I’m trying!

No. She got a tattoo. A STL tattoo place is doing select designs for $13 in honor of Friday, the 13th. BUT…each design has a little “13” in it.

So hers is three stars, a moon and a “13” written, in what I must say, is a pretty neat font.

My mom is cooler than me. sigh.

Just bought some Cab Sav (don’t you just want to stab people who say that?) for my Amtrak journey to Washington DC tomorrow. Not only will I be getting in at the early time of 9:30, I get to see my Jeff & go out for hot wings!
